Yesterday I went to Orana Park. First we went to the keas. I learnt about keas that their beacks are sharp as knives.

Thank you for letting us go to Orana Park Thank you for paying for Orana Park I had a fun time. I want to go again because I saw a lady peacock and a man peacock. The lady peacock is white and the man peacock is colourful. Orana Park was fun. It was super duper fun I fed the giraffes it was fun feeding the giraffes. I went with my mum on the way there and back too. I had fun.

The Trip To Orana Park

I went to orana park yesterday. I fed the giraffes and 1 bit me. I felt a bit sad but over all it was a good day.

on the trip we saw lot of animals. on the trip there was 146 animals we saw the gorillas and spider monkey My favourite part was the gorillas. because they are big. and strong and powerful. and great they so awesome On the trip I learnt the spider monkey have long nails and long arms. So they can climb and the nails are for get food out of the pinecone.

at arana park we saw giraffes and we saw keas. we feed the spider monkey it was fun and we saw the gorrilas one is funny cause one of them were jumping out the window My favourite part was the giraffes cause they were funny I learnt that giraffes are cool they are fantastic because they are amazing.

Tawa and Kea class have been learning about animals, their needs and habitats. To find out more we visited Orana Park. We enjoyed a fantastic day, but I will wait for the children to do their own writing about the trip to let you in on the details! I will say though that I was really impressed by the standard of behaviour and the quality of the questions. You guys are an awesome bunch! We couldn't have done this trip without our spectacular parent helpers whose efforts made the day run so smoothly. Kai pai!

Our Dream Dog

The Piwakawaka Group have been reading a book about how to choose a pet dog. We have been thinking about different types of dogs and how there are many things to consider when choosing a dog. It is important that your dog matches your life style. The children thought about their dream dog and wrote a description considering all the factors we read about.  

My Dream Dog

My dream dog woud be a great dane his name woud be Zouse. I think he woud be a pet. He woud be a crossbred. I woud hope he liked running around. I woud want him to be a middle aged dog. I want him to be a large dog or a mediam dog. I wat his coat to not shed. I dont want it to shed because I have to clean it up.

my dream dog would be a chihuaua because they are relly cute and cuddly. They need a lot of attention. They also need a little bit of food. I want a small chihuahua with brownish witeish skin. My dream dog would be fluffy. I would name it chelsea. I want a well behaved one. I want one that does a little bit of exercise.

Hockey

We are having loads of fun playing hockey every Tuesday. Here are some photos taken by Miss Diggle and Roxy from today's lesson. Playing sport helps us develop and use our gross motor skills. It keeps us healthy and teaches us resilience. Even Miss Diggle had to swallow her pride when her team was beaten by Bryce, Tru, Hayley and Oliver. But it's OK. As Noah pointed out "We still had fun!" Well played Tawa!

An Unusual Pet

In Tawa Class we have been learning about different animal's needs. We have been thinking about the every day needs of our pets at home and have been reading lots of books about animals. For fun we decided to think up some unusual pets and the advantages and disadvantages of those animals as pets. This is what we came up with...

Dolphins My Ideal Pet

If I could have any pet in the world I would have a dolphin because I would get a ride on it's back and dive in the deep blue sea. I would see colourful fish and stingray and some sharks.

Te - Rexx

I would have a te-rexx because it will protect you because it is strong. I will train it so it dosent eat you. It is the king I want to be safe I will get meat for treats. I like Te rexxs. My mum would be save uncle will be save. 

I wish I had a t-rex would you I hope so because you could come to me so I can train it I think Dinosaurs are the best

Indomisorisrex as a Pet

My Indomisoris rex is a dinosaur. He always eats meat He will whine because he was meat. The meat he eats is Meat Lovers and Stack. I tack him to the hill. He likes to go in the car. He likes to pock his head out of the car. In Then he stomped on the houses But luckily he didnt stand on us.

I like tigers because I will try to make it not eat other people or animal's. I would name it... Elsia!
